Restaurant Smoking Bans Effective
A study conducted by the Boston University School of Public Health reveals that restaurant smoking bans may play a part in keeping teens tobacco free. Adolescents who lived in towns with strict bans were 40 percent less likely to become regular  smokers than those in communities with no bans or weak ones, the researchers reported in the May issue of the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. The mission of Toshiba America Foundation is to contribute to the quality of science and mathematics education in U.S. communities by investing in projects designed by classroom teachers to improve science and mathematics education for students in grades K thru 12.
