LearntobeHealthy.org Wins Innovation Award

The National Association of Health Education Centers (NAHEC) recently awarded LearntobeHealthy.org its Richard B. Rush Award for Outstanding Innovation.  The interactive eLearning site was recognized for its innovative approach to health education, its ability to reach multiple target audiences (parents, teachers, kids and teens), the number of people impacted by the site, and positive evaluation results.

The Richard B. Rush Outstanding Innovative Project Award criteria is threefold. To be considered, an innovative project must:
  • Address a compelling community need
  • Show a vision to improve quality of life
  • Indicate ongoing efforts to support health education

The LearntobeHealthy site has added many resources this year that address the criteria listed above. New resources unveiling this year include: interactive health logs, a brand new site just for community organizations, and activities relating to mental health such as bullying prevention.  Premium services will be added to the portal this year, enhancing the already robust site for those users who would like to pay a subscription rate to access live video segments and other enhanced resources.
