LearntobeHealthy.org is the Adobe Site of the Day

Adobe is known throughout the computing world as a company that has revolutionized communications and set new standards for both business and entertainment. The company's award-winning software has set the bar for engaging multi-media communications that remain easy to use.

Today, September 11, 2009, Adobe awarded the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center's eLearning site, LearntobeHealthy.org, with the Adobe Site of the Day Award. The dynamic eLearning site was chosen based on its strong visual design, impressive technical execution, interesting, rich content and innovative use of Adobe products.

Some of the criteria websites must meet to be considered for this prestigious award include logical navigation, providing access for low-bandwidth users, and avoiding unnecessary introductory elements. Some previous winners include MTVmusic.com, Nasa.gov, and Gatorade.com, in addition to numerous other big players.

The educational content and creative direction of LearntobeHealthy.org are managed by the staff of the Byrnes Health Education Center in conjunction with JPL of Harrisburg. JPL is the technical powerhouse behind LearntobeHealthy’s educational message, designing the site and all interactive flash-animated activities. Alison Fetterman, project manager at JPL, says “the combination of fun and excitement from the Byrnes Health Education Center with the creativity and technical expertise of JPL have resulted in an amazing site that is more impressive each year!”
